In Genshin Impact The Sacred Lan is a quest of legends associated with an archer named Ganyu. To start this quest chain, you will need to reach Adventure Rank 40, complete the story quest "A New Star Approaches" and get the Story Key by completing 8 daily quests.
In this guide, we will describe in detail the passage of all the quests of this large-scale task. So far, only the 1st chapter of the mission called "Sea of Clouds, Sea of People" is available to players.
An enlightened beast in a sea of clouds
If you have met all the requirements above, then use the Story Key to open the Ganyu quest. After that, the first quest will start and your first task will appear - you will need to chat with the secretaries from the Jade Palace.
Follow the quest marker to the Moonsea Pavilion (where the elevator to the Jade Chamber was) and you'll find that all 3 Ninguan Secretaries have gathered at the entrance. Talk to them - they will inform you that Ganyu went to the Cloudy Limit and no one has seen her since. We agree to help the girls.
Seek out Ganyu at Aozang Mountain
Teleport to the waypoint on Mount Aozang and head to the north side of the pool to find the right girl staring into the distance.
She doesn't seem to know what to do now. Talk to her and the Cloud Keeper and then watch a nice animated cutscene. After that, you will again have to look for the girl and chat with her.
How to complete the Cloud Keeper Challenge
Ganyu is south of your current position. Cross the body of water and look down the mountain to find it right in front of the bridge.
When you approach her, a new cut-scene will play. Let the young lady know that you want to keep her company, after which the testing stage will begin. To complete it, you need to activate all 12 elemental monuments using the skills of the new heroine. As with any other archer in the game, holding down the aim button will charge her Onion and fill it with Cryo damage.
On the green floating platforms shown above, you will see 2 monuments. Hit them with a bow to create an updraft of air.
Use the air current and follow the rings to the south to find the third monument. From here, follow the newly appeared rings to the west and down to find another pillar. Stand on the platform where the totem is located, activate it and fly through the new rings to take advantage of the second airflow and enter the circle of floating platforms.
Next, you need to activate 3 more monuments. Two of them are static, and the third is on a hovering and moving platform. Once all 3 are activated, walk across the light bridge that appears.
When you cross it, look to your left to find another pillar on a moving platform. DO NOT shoot it if you are still on the light bridge, as when it is activated, the bridge will disappear and an air current will appear. Use the wind to climb up and go south to find another monument on a floating platform that moves up and down. Activate it, use the air current and get to the top of the mountain, where the last 3 monuments will be waiting for you. Charge the Ganyu Onion to activate 3 pillars at once.
How to complete the Xiao Challenge
Watch a short cut-scene after completing the Cloud Keeper Achievement: Challenger. You will then need to head southeast to the large tree in the Southern Heaven Gate to find Xiao and chat with him.
Check out the new cutscene. Next, you will need to complete the test Xiao. Look east of your current location and you'll see one of those monoliths that needs to be defended from enemies.
As soon as you study it, the battle will begin. You have to kill 26 monsters to complete this challenge. Don't worry, with Ganyu it's very easy to do. Use the heroine's elemental skill to distract the mobs, and then shower them with arrows, charging the Onion to level 2. Since the fight takes place in the river, all opponents will be wet, so you can freeze them with ease.
During the Achievement: Challenger, you will have to fight against slimes, giant pyro flowers and small water bats. Nothing special, but in the last wave you will need to defeat 5 or 6 giant pyro flowers. We advise you to use the explosion of the heroine's elements, as it can freeze opponents for a long time.
Once you've completed the test, return to Xiao and talk to him. Watch the new cut-scene and get the well-deserved reward for completing the quest: 625 adventure points, 38,100 Mora, 4 hero experience and 8 magical buff ore.
A Secretary in a Sea of Humanity
You have to return to Liyue With You your new friend. Head to the north entrance of Liyue Harbor and approach the city to watch a new cut-scene.
Next, go to the east side of the city pier to meet Uncle Tian. He will ask the archer to help his daughter because she does not want to listen to him. However, he mainly does this to support Ganyu herself.
Head to the Moonsea Pavilion at the top of Liyue Harbor and you'll find Hui Xin near the building, wearing a blue and white outfit. You learn from her about a couple of shopkeepers who evade taxes.
Speak with Bo Lai and Master Lu
Bo Lai is located under the pier, right at the entrance to it. Go and talk to him. Watch the cut-scene and then travel to another part of the Liyue region. You will need to chat with Master Lu, who is in the Fanmu workshop.
This character can be found in Qingze Village, on its southwestern side. Go there and talk to the old man. Tell him about the invoice you are looking for and he will tell you about the mysterious robbers. The archer will spot the fatui at the bottom of the hill - apparently, this is your next target.
Fly to him and take a look at the enemy. Looks like he's eating something. Hit him to trigger a new cutscene. You will learn that he was just picking berries, which means that the fatui did not rob the owner of the store.
Once you've dealt with the fatui, head up the stairs nearby and head northwest to the top of the hill to reach the warehouse (it's a small building at the foot of the mountain right in front of the village entrance). Looks like the hilichurls were bothering the old man. Kill them all.
Find the receipt of the store "Second Life"
Once the area is cleared, you will need to find the receipt. One lies under the hut, and the other is next to the sacks of grain. But the one you really need is hidden behind the warehouse.
Now return to Hui Xin and show her the receipt. Once you've done that, we'll need to talk to Dong Sheng in Second Life. This is a Shop located next to the teleport near the alchemy workbench. Watch the cut-scene and get the reward for the quest: 675 adventure points, 41,750 Mora, 5 hero experience and 9 magical enhancement ore.

You will need to go to the Xinyue Tent located next to the souvenir shop on the main street for lunch. Approach the table inside the building and watch some cut-scenes.
Speak to the secretaries at the Jade Palace
After completing the previous task, return to the Moonsea Pavilion and approach the secretaries who started all this mess. A new cut-scene will begin, and a very long one. Watch it to the end to complete the first chapter of Ganyu story.
You will be rewarded with 425 Adventure Points, 60 Source Stones, 25,025 Mora, 5 Zeal Directions, and 6 Enchantment Magic Ore. In addition, you can now complete world quests "Fishing For Jade" And "Return of the Jade Chamber?».
