    In Genshin Impact The Illusion’s Finishings are Fontaine's world assignment, as well as part of the "Seafoam Brush" and "Ancient Colors" chains. During them, you have to go to the village of Merusi, collect dyes and properly adjust the position of the prism to establish resonance with the ore.     How to start a task

    There are no additional conditions for starting this quest, that is, you can start completing it immediately after you go to Fontaine. However, if the character you need is not in the place indicated below, then try to increase Adventure Rank.

    Note: Be sure to activate at least one Hydro Archon Statue to receive a blessing that will allow you to swim underwater.

    So, go to the Beryl region, located in the western part of Fontaine. Teleport to the statue of the Hydro Archon (or open it first), and then go a little northwest to the exclamation point. Here you will notice a group of hermits who have surrounded the melusina - approach them.

    During a conversation with the bandits, you can choose the following dialogue options:

    • Join the battle - the battle with the hermits will begin.
    • Stop it. This is Fontaine - the battle with the hermits will begin anyway (we tried to pretend to be undercover agents, but nothing came of it).

    You need to defeat three opponents. They are not very complex. After that, chat with Mamer, who will offer to draw your portrait.

    Head to Merusi Village

    If you want to get to the settlement under water, then from your current location, go a little forward and dive into the reservoir. Start diving by hitting the armored crab along the way to pick up its heavy Noelle: Protector. Then swim up to the boulder with a blue crack, hold the "E" key and release the skill - you will destroy the stone and unlock Hydroculus.

    When you reach the bottom, follow the current and swim out the other side. Go to land, and then start following the fairy. To do this, you have to jump into a large hole. Going down, you will find yourself in a very warm place. Run further to the teleportation point and get a rich chest as a reward.

    Then enter the tunnel and go forward along it, unlocking a regular chest along the way (it is protected by Hydro slimes). Keep going forward. You will meet Kosynziana, who will speak to you herself. Go further and you will see Mamer standing to the right of another teleporter - chat with her.

    Go to Mamer's house and take a walk

    Go to the northern part of the village and turn into the tunnel on the right. You will see the platform on which the house is installed. Approach him to start a new cutscene. You will meet Seymour, a talking mechanical dog.

    While Mamer is busy painting, you will need to inspect the items located next to the artist's house: a bottle, a box, an easel, Seymour and a melusine's room. When inspecting the bottle, the hostess of the house will run up to you and inform you that she has no paints left, so you will have to start collecting materials.

    How to use prism and ore resonance

    Head to the Deserted Place, located in the same cave. Go through the tunnel until you reach a spacious area. When you reach the quest marker, you will learn that collecting new ore is not so easy - you need to stand behind the prism and at the same time turn the camera towards the deposit.

    Next, hit the prism with a simple attack, creating a Charge Up that will destroy the ore, allowing you to collect it (you will receive a Red Stone). Nearby, by the way, you can defeat enemies to open a rich chest.

    Then go to the prism located to the right of the boat and to the left of the stone. If you direct the blow forward, you will destroy the stone that covered the hydro-granum (this is part of a puzzle not related to the quest). However, you need to stand a little to the left of the crystal and hit it to activate the second prism, located slightly ahead on the right.

    Now approach the activated crystal and hit it to break the boulder marked with the quest marker. You will receive another Red Stone and will be able to open a rich chest.

    How to adjust the position of the prism to set the resonance with the ore

    Climb up a bit and talk to Mamer. She will say that it is necessary to find a purer ore. After that, enter the purple portal located behind the melusine. You will enter a very warm place. Chat with the artist again.

    You will again need to hit the prisms to destroy the cobblestones, but now you will have to move the crystals first to properly adjust their position. Take the first prism and put it close to the cobblestone, otherwise the charge will hit the ground, and then destroy the deposit.

    Take the first prism again and place it on the left as shown in the screenshot below. Hit the charge on the second crystal to activate it.

    Take the second prism and place it on the right border, on the mound. Then pick up the non-activated third Elemental Reaction: Crystallize and also place it on the border, not far from the second device (see screenshot below). Hit the last one to activate the third prism.

    Next, take the third prism again and place it close to the ore in order to hit it with a charge and destroy it. As a result, you will receive a second Red Stone and a rich chest. Chat with Mamer again near the portal.

    Head to Mamer's house and defeat the hermits

    Teleport closer to the house of the melusine and go to it. A cut-scene will begin, during which you will meet the hermits again. This time they will be accompanied by Jacob. Talk to the man. He wants to take the paint.

    You will have to fight the hermits again. If you have Anemo heroes, you can try to quickly drop them into the water to instantly kill them. However, the enemies are not very difficult. After dealing with them, talk to Jacob again. Next, you will find that Seymour has been broken.

    When examining the portrait, you can choose any answer option, as it will not affect the ending of the task. However, the correct choice seems to be as follows: "Snowfield on Fire".

    Next, the Traveler decides to fix the mechanical dog. This will require the help of the Progenitor. The task will end. As a reward, you will receive 400 adventure points, 30 thousand pestilence, 4 hero books, 50 primogems and 6 magical enhancement ore. Plus, you will have access to the next quest in the chain called "ItThere Will Come Soft Rains".
