How to start a quest
First you will need get to Fontaine one of two ways, and then go to the Beryl Region. Here, look for a reservoir, which is the entrance to the Merusi Village, located under water. The entire path to the settlement is discussed in detail in this guide.
After reaching the village of Melusine, run south to the waterfall. Not far from him, you will find Yara standing near the fishing rod. Talk to her and agree to help the baby. Note that the quest does not appear in the mission log.
How to beat a globular octopus
After talking with the melusine, go to the white light and place the bait in the water. Then wait 5-10 seconds until an octopus appears next to you. You will need to defeat him. If the creature suddenly appears in the middle of the lake, then use an archer or a catalyst to kill it.
After dealing with the enemy, chat with Yara again. When the conversation ends, the task will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 20 Primogems, 150 Adventure Points, 25,000 Mora, and 1 unusual spare part.
