Insider team Team Mew posted online a map of a new region that will be added in update 4.6 for Genshin Impact. She turned out to be not what many imagined.
Firstly, despite previous statements from leakers, the developers have decided to completely fill the void that currently exists between Sumeru, Fontaine and Liyue. Secondly, most of the new location is occupied by water - closer to the center there is a small island, on which, apparently, there is some kind of settlement or ruins. Perhaps this particular territory will be named Petrichor.
In addition, Sumeru has grown into small areas in the north - the desert and tropical forest near Vanarana have expanded slightly. It is not yet clear whether any activity will appear on them or whether they will remain mostly empty.
It is also unknown whether it will be possible to dive underwater in this area, since outwardly it looks as if it is separate from Fontaine. In theory, at the bottom there should be an ancient kingdom of Remuria, on the basis of which the current Hydro Kingdom appeared. However, insiders note that these ruins will be released in patch 4.6 as a separate map (like Encanomia or the Rift Mines).
