In Genshin Impact the Enigmatic Page in Fontaine are special items that shed some light on the history of the Hydro region and the apocalyptic prophecy. They are hidden in various corners of this huge location, and the Book of Revelations is required to decipher them.
In this guide, you will find out where you can find all the mysterious pages in the territory of Fontaine, how to read them, and what rewards you can get for collecting these pieces of paper.
What are Fontaine's Enigmatic Page for?
You may encounter them for the first time during normal exploration of the Hydro region, however, you will only become aware of their true purpose when completing the world quest called "Book of Esoteric Revelations", which is given by Kanotila in Merusi Village.
After completing the task, a book icon will appear on the map, to which you can quickly move at any time to decipher new pages. You will receive certain rewards for reading new texts:
- After deciphering 6 mysterious pages, a rich chest will appear nearby.
- After deciphering 9 mysterious pages, a precious chest will appear nearby.
- After deciphering 12 mysterious pages, a luxurious chest will appear nearby.
Unfortunately, at the moment there are no secret achievements for studying the pages. Perhaps it will appear later after additional notes are added to the game.
Where to Find the Mysterious Pages in Fontaine
So, at present, you can find 12 mysterious pages, some of which are located on land, while others are under water or in ancient ruins. The maps below show the approximate location of all texts.
Before embarking on their search, we advise you to fulfill the following conditions:
- Complete the world quest called "Aqueous Tidemarks" to open the area of the Institute of Natural Philosophy.
- Finish the mission "The Narzissenkreuz Adventure" to remove water from Annapause.
- Get Key to Some Place in the Institute, which will be useful to you to open the secret room.
- Open the Ordo Narcissencreutz area while completing the quest "The Final Question" or "Unfinished Story".
Having dealt with all these requirements, you can start finding mysterious pages. Next, we will tell you in detail about their location.
Enigmatic Page (I)
- Location: Beryl District (south)
The location of the first three pages will be shown to you when you complete the Secrets of the Book of Revelation. However, you can also get them during the usual exploration of the world, so we will nevertheless show how to get to them.
Move to or walk to the teleport near the mountain, and then go into the cave in the rock and deal with the pups and the Rupture Hound. As a result, you will unlock a rich chest containing the first note.
Enigmatic Page (II)
- Location: Very warm place
Move to the indicated location, and then go a little north to the waterfall and the red prism. Hit the last one to cause a charge that will rush straight towards the cobblestone. Thus, you will be able to destroy it and gain access to the usual chest, where the second page is stored.
Enigmatic Page (III)
- Location: Beryl District (North)
Move to the northern part of the location and look for the Beast Rift in the indicated place. Stand in the center of the glowing circle and fight the monsters, preventing them from destroying the crystals. You'll have to face three waves of enemies, with a Rupture Hound spawning at the end.
Remember that the Noelle: Protector does not save from decay, so we advise you to take a healer into the squad or stock up on healing dishes. Take also your strongest damage dealers. Having dealt with the enemies, you will receive a precious chest, where the page is hidden.
Enigmatic Page (IV)
- Location: Institute of Natural Philosophy
Move to the southern teleport of the specified area, and then emerge from the water and go to the library. Examine the box on which the chest stands to pick up a new page.
Enigmatic Page (V)
- Location: Institute of Natural Philosophy
From the previous point, head to the closed door, which just opens Key to Some Place in the Institute. Walk forward through the corridor, unlock another passage, and you will find yourself in a secret room with a chest. On the table on the left will be the document you need.
Enigmatic Page (VI)
- Location: Institute of Natural Philosophy
Move to the northern teleport of the specified area, and then go forward and go to the far left corner, near which there is a water ring - interact with it to go up to the upper level.
Click on the console next to the door to open it. Go to a small room where you will find an amazing chest and a bookshelf with the page you need.
Enigmatic Page (VII)
- Location: Annapause
Move to the southern teleport point of the specified area, and then swim forward to the passage to the ruins on the left, where you saved Petit Chou earlier in the mission "The Narzissenkreuz Adventure". In this room, examine the bookshelf lying in the corner - you will find a page in it.
Enigmatic Page (VIII)
- Location: Institute of Natural Philosophy
In the same secret room where you found the 5th Mystery Page, go forward a little and you will come to a small area with a closed door. There is a bookshelf here, in which you will find the necessary document.
Enigmatic Page (IX)
- Location: Annapause
You will need to climb to the top of the tower. To do this, move to the teleportation point indicated below, and then swim forward to the desired building. Don't move too low or you'll fall out of the water ahead of time.
Hovering right above the tower, dive down to get out of the water and fall right onto the roof. As a result, a precious chest will appear near you, in which the page is hidden.
Enigmatic Page (X)
- Location: unknown
At this point in time in the game, apparently, it is impossible to find this document, but it definitely exists, since the dataminers found it in the game files.
Note: Some people think that the 10th entry is "The Scattered Page", which can be found in the "Book of Esoteric Revelations" quest, however this is not the case. The problem is that the texts are different.
Enigmatic Page (XI)
- Location: Ordo Narcissencreutz
To get to this secret area, you need to complete the quest "Aqueous Tidemarks", as well as chains "Anne of the Narcissencreutz" and/or "Ancient Colors". After that, return to the Institute of Natural Philosophy and examine the book on the table (its location is shown in the screenshots below).
Once in the desired location, examine the stack of books lying on the boxes near the bookshelf. There is still sometimes spinning Oceanid Ann. As a result, you will get the desired document.
Enigmatic Page (XII)
- Location: Very warm place
Move to the Book of Revelation, and then enter the passage behind the book. Jump down and examine the stacks of textbooks lying on the grass. Among them you will find the records you need.
Enigmatic Page (XIII)
- Location: Merusi village
Go to the village of Melusine and in its northern part, find the owner of the shop named Zana. She will appear here only after completing the "Ancient Colors" line. Enter into a dialogue with her and ask what you will get in return. This will open the trade menu. Find the 13th mystery page in it and buy it for 1 unusual spare part.
Having obtained all the mysterious pages in the game, return to the Book of Revelation and decipher all the documents for a well-deserved reward.
