In Genshin Impact Furina is 5 star character, belonging to the Hydro element and using a one-handed sword in battle. In a team, she can play the role of a damage dealer/support. In this guide you will learn about her best builds, weapons and artifacts, as well as the most optimal units with her
Note: Hydro Archon has not yet been officially released, so the data presented here is based on information received as part of beta testing. If necessary, we will update the guide when the heroine appears in the game.
Main features of Furina
How to get Furina
In the first phase of update 4.2, this swordswoman will appear in banner, which will increase the likelihood of it falling out. In the future, it will be possible to obtain this character only with the help of Prayers. Unfortunately, HoYoverse has never held an event where the reward would be a 5-star fighter, so you definitely won’t be able to get Focalors for free.
Furina's stat progression
The table below shows how a character's base stats change as they level up.
Level | Base HP | Basic attack | Basic protection | Bonus to crit chance. hits |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 1192 | 19 | 54 | 0% |
20 | 3091 | 49 | 140 | 0% |
40 | 6154 | 98 | 280 | 4.8% |
60 | 9930 | 158 | 451 | 9.6% |
80 | 13505 | 215 | 614 | 14.4% |
90 | 15307 | 244 | 696 | 19.2% |
The standard critical damage and critical hit chance are 50% and 5% respectively.
Advantages and disadvantages of Furina
Using her unique abilities, this heroine can both support her allies and inflict considerable damage on her enemies. Its advantages also include:
- It has a rather unusual gameplay that allows you to quickly change the role of the heroine in the squad, which will appeal to players who are tired of monotonous characters with one function.
- Furina's versatility and versatility is amazing - she can not only hurt both single and multiple targets without even being on the battlefield, but also significantly strengthen her allies and heal their wounds.
- Thanks to its versatility, it goes well with many damage dealers of various elements, so you can put together a lot of great packs with it.
- With the help of a charged attack, he can change the type of arche (from ushi to pneuma and vice versa), which is extremely useful when solving puzzles in Fontaine and in battles with various opponents in the Hydro Region.
- The elemental skill allows Furina to run freely on water, making it easier to explore the world.
- With You with elevation, her chance of delivering critical hits increases, and most of her abilities depend on HP - all this simplifies her assembly, since you can pay less attention to crits, maximizing health and Obtaining Energy.
- By stealing health from allies and healing them, she helps them in activating various effects depending on the change in HP.
- Simplifies underwater battles, since the cooldown of skills taken from Fontmer aliens is reduced by 30%, so they can be used more often.
However, it is still impossible to call Furina an ideal character, since she also has her drawbacks:
- Although she does not need high ATK, due to her relatively low base attack, she deals very low damage with her regular attacks, which she is forced to use to activate arche. Even the 6th Constellation doesn’t help the situation much, but more on that below.
- Furina buffs very well, but her buff affects the entire pack, which looks like a waste of resources, because the supports in the team are neither warm nor cold from this buff. It would be much better if she only buffed the active hero even more.
- For the buff, the heroine needs to use her ultimate on CD, and its cost is 60 units of energy. Since she will not go out onto the battlefield very often to collect particles, she will definitely need a battery (Hydro character or support with the Favonius weapon). Otherwise, you will have to increase its Obtaining Energy to at least 210%.
- Her skill takes away health from all allies, and she can only heal one active character (if you are not playing in co-op). For this reason, it is still advisable to take one good healer into the squad. This will also help in activating one of Furina's passives.
- She can only reach her full potential with characters who can independently change their HP (usually heroes from Fontaine), since thanks to them she will be able to accumulate fanfare faster.
Furina's abilities
When performing a normal attack "Lonely Hearts Salon" the heroine makes up to 4 quick swings of her sword, and when she falls, she quickly rushes to the ground, hitting all opponents on the way, and after landing, inflicts damage over an area. Furina deals pneuma or usii damage to Hydro with her normal attacks at certain intervals.
By holding down the charged attack button, Hydro Archon deals physical damage to nearby enemies, costing some stamina, and changes the type of arche. In the case of an elemental skill, activating a charged strike leads to a change in salon participants (deal damage) to stream singers (heal) and vice versa. When entering the battlefield, her arche is always set to ushiya.
Explanation: The low base attack and low multipliers do not allow the use of regular attacks to inflict significant damage (the situation is partially corrected by C6) - they are only needed to activate pneuma or ousia. Therefore, when deciding to weaken the enemy in Fontaine, you will have to add simple strikes to the rotation. This can be justified when fighting bosses.
You'll likely use Charged Strikes much more often, as they allow you to instantly change the effect of a skill. If you need to heal the main DD, then switch to the pneuma, and if you want to increase the squad's DPS, then choose the usia.
After using an elemental skill "Lonely Hearts Salon" the heroine calls either stream singers or salon participants - it all depends on what type of arche Furina currently has.
At action of Usia the heroine deals Hydro damage in an area, depending on her maximum health, and summons 3 salon participants who inflict Hydro damage to nearby enemies (priority is given to the target of the active fighter), the amount of which also depends on Furina’s HP.
If allies' health level exceeds 50%, then salon participants absorb their health with each hit, increasing their damage by 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% in the presence of one, two, three and four donors, respectively. Note that in Ushii mode, Hydro Archon wears black shorts and a jacket, and also has a short haircut.
At action of Pneuma The swordswoman summons stream singers who begin healing nearby active characters at short intervals. The amount of healing depends on her maximum health. In this mode, the heroine wears light shorts and a jacket, and two long tails are added to her bob.
Explanation: Summoned creatures in Ushii mode resemble Yae Miko turrets, which periodically deal water damage to enemies, and can also move independently. Their duration is 30 seconds, and the skill cooldown is 20 seconds, so they can be on the battlefield almost constantly. Each salon participant deals different damage (increases with skill level) and absorbs different amounts of allies’ health (does not grow with level).
In Pneuma mode, stream singers can heal (the amount of healing increases with level) only the active character, and not the entire pack, so sooner or later, you will encounter a lack of health among the heroes. For this reason, you cannot do without a good healer or shield member on your team. This will also allow you to use E-shka less often for healing, because such actions reduce overall DPS.
Elemental Burst "Let the people rejoice" makes it possible to inflict Hydro damage in an area, the amount of which depends on the heroine’s maximum health, and impose the “Universal Fun” status on allies. In this state, for every 1% change in party members' health from their maximum HP, Furina receives 1 fanfare unit. Depending on the number of accumulated fanfares, the damage and amount of healing received increases for all team members.
Explanation: A swordswoman can gain a maximum of 300 units of fanfare, each of which at the 10th level of her ult increases damage by 0.23%, that is, in theory, she can increase the damage of each team member by 75% (with open C1 - by 112.5%) . At the same time, what is important is not the ability to accumulate maximum stacks during a rotation, but to do this approximately in the middle of it. With characters who can independently change their HP, for example, Nevillet and Wriothesley, this should not be a problem, but in other cases you will have to use healers and E-shka (remember that “turrets” consume the health of allies).
The healing bonus at level 10 can be 30%, which is also good, since you will make the healer’s job much easier, plus, you will more often have an excess of healing, which will activate the “Never-Ending Performance” passive. Let's add that the duration of the ult is 18 seconds, and its cooldown is 15 seconds, so with proper energy recovery, you can maintain the effect of the elemental explosion throughout the entire battle.
It is also impossible not to point out the extremely useful passive talents of the supreme judge:
- The Sea Is My Stage - Reduces the cooldown of xenochrome creatures' skills by 30%, making it easier to fight and solve puzzles underwater.
- Never-Ending Performance – the heroine regenerates health to all allies in the amount of 2% of their maximum health every two seconds for 4 seconds. This effect occurs as soon as the active fighter is healed in excess by any character except Furina.
- Unheard Confession - every 1 thousand units of health increases the damage of salon participants by 0.7% (up to a maximum of 28%) and reduces the frequency of treatment of stream singers by 0.4% (maximum it can decrease by 16%). It takes approximately 40 thousand health to get the maximum possible bonuses.
Furina constellations
To open them, you need to accumulate the character’s Luck, which is issued when duplicates of the hero appear, which, of course, is random. Given the low chance of getting 5-star heroes, you will need to spend a lot of time and money to unlock all constellations. However, even without them, Furina can perfectly serve as a sub-damage dealer/support.
If you decide to try your luck, we recommend that you stop on C1 and C2, which will significantly increase the usefulness of Hydro Archon as a support character, since allies will receive a serious increase in damage and healing bonus at the very beginning of his ultimate, and it will be possible to reach the maximum buff twice as fast as usual. If you choose between the first constellation and Furina's signature sword, we recommend taking the constellation.
Here is the complete list of constellations:
- Like a rebellious bird, love is deaf to pleas - it immediately gives 150 units of fanfare when activating the ult, and their limit increases to 450 levels.
- Let's raise the cup of love - when the ult is active, the increase in fanfare increases by 200%. Each new stack above the limit increases the heroine’s maximum health by 0.4% (the maximum can increase by 140%).
- Now I know his name - the level of his ult increases by three. Maximum level: 15th.
- He who has not been in the kingdom of death does not know life! – restores the heroine 4 units of energy each time an enemy is defeated by salon participants or an active fighter is treated by stream singers. The effect can occur once every five seconds.
- I will keep the secret and not reveal it - the skill level increases by three. Maximum level: 15th.
- The fickleness of women - like duckweed on water - gives the heroine Hydro an infusion for 10 seconds when activating the E-shka, and her damage increases by 15% of her maximum HP. In this case, once every 0.1 second, various effects can occur depending on the current type of arche. If you have Usia, once per second all team members are restored to health in the amount of 3% of Furina’s maximum HP (the effect lasts 2.5 seconds). If you have pneuma, damage from regular, charged, and falling attacks increases by another 15% of the heroine's maximum health. At the same time, successful hits will take 1% of life from allies. All of these effects can trigger up to seven times.
In theory, the 6th Constellation allows you to use Furina more often on the battlefield, turning her into almost a full-fledged main damage dealer, but in practice everything is much more complicated. The thing is that the infusion does not last long, and it does not allow you to use "turrets" (if you need an additional bonus to the damage of regular attacks), which are still one of the main sources of damage.
So C6 rather makes using simple hits more enjoyable when you need to change the type of arche, rather than transforming Hydro Archon into a main damage dealer. However, no one is stopping you from experimenting with this mechanic.
How to play as Furina
So, Furina is a sub-damage dealer/support, capable of dealing huge damage or healing off-field allies with her skill, as well as strengthening all squad members by activating her ultimate. All this allows it to become the central element in a wide variety of packs. In addition, she is currently the only hero who can change her arche type, so Hydro Archon can easily adapt to any boss or puzzle in Fontaine.
However, she needs help from a good healer, since with her skill she drains the health of her allies. In short-term battles, this is not very noticeable, especially considering that the heroine can heal an active fighter, but in longer battles, for example, in the Twisted Abyss, Hydro Archon will eventually deplete the entire squad. A healer with fast health regeneration that affects the entire pack will allow Furina to attack without stopping.
So we do not advise you to use this swordswoman as a healer, focusing entirely on her attack and support abilities. You will rarely use healing (can be used to gain fanfare faster), so you should stay in Ushii mode most of the time. Fortunately, this is what Furina will wear on the battlefield.
As for rotation, we’ll immediately look at the second one, since you’re unlikely to be able to perform the first one perfectly, since the ult, most likely, will not be ready yet, and the characters will have full health, so they won’t need treatment. The optimal procedure for the second combination is as follows:
- Activate an Elemental Burst to deal minor damage and start building fanfare (with C1 open you will immediately gain 150 units).
- Use Furina's elemental skill to summon 3 salon participants who will begin to cause damage to enemies and drain life points from battered allies.
- Switch to the healer and start healing the team. Such drastic changes in the HP of team members should allow Hydro Archon to gain at least 200 fanfare (in the absence of C1 and characters capable of independently changing their health).
- Switch to the main damage dealer, strengthened by Furina, and start dealing increased damage to enemies.
- After 18 seconds, activate your ult again, and after another 12 seconds, use the skill. At the same time, remember to switch between damage dealer and healer to accumulate fanfare.
Note that Furina will need a lot of energy to activate her rollback ult. In groups where she is the only Hydro character, her VE should be around 240%. If there is a second aquatic hero, the requirements for the parameter drop to 200%, and if the pack also contains a good battery (Raiden Shogun, Fischl , etc.), then to 150%.
Let's add that salon participants are more suitable for closing reactions, since they are poor at maintaining Hydro status on opponents. Therefore, it makes sense to upgrade her elemental mastery so that she can deal more damage with her reactions.
Best builds for Furina
Best weapon
When choosing a one-handed sword, priority should be given to those options that increase health, critical damage and the chance of inflicting critical hits, as well as strengthen the skill and increase Obtaining Energy (if there is a shortage of it). The table below presents the most interesting options.
Name and rarity | Characteristics (level 1-90) | Passive ability |
---|---|---|
The sparkle of still waters (5 stars) |
Critical Damage: 19.2%~88.2% Base Attack: 44~542 |
When the wearer’s HP changes (loss or replenishment), the damage from the E-shka receives a buff of 8%-16% for 6 seconds (up to 3 stacks) and is activated once every 0.2 seconds. With similar changes in the HP of allies, the owner of the sword receives a bonus to the maximum health limit in the amount of 14%-28% for 6 seconds (up to 2 stacks) also once every 0.2 seconds - this increase in HP is activated even if the Achievement: Hero receiving it is in the "pocket". Furina's signature weapon, which increases all the characteristics she needs, and, therefore, increases both the damage from the E-shka and buffs. However, we still advise you to open C1 instead of the signature, especially since you can find other good weapons for the heroine. |
Primordial Jade Cutter (5 stars) |
Critical hit chance: 9.6%~44.1% Base attack: 44-542 |
Increases the hero's health by 20%~40% and gives an attack bonus of 1.2%~2.4% of the hero's maximum health. Will allow Furine to crit more often and deal more damage with her abilities due to increased health. So in terms of damage, this sword is not much behind the previous one. However, you will have to take artifacts on the VE to achieve the cooldown ult. |
Festering Desire (4 stars) |
Obtaining Energy: 10%~45.9% Base attack: 42-510 |
Increases elemental skill damage by 16%~32% and critical strike chance by 6%~12%. Significantly increases damage from elemental skills and supplies the required amount of energy. As a result, in terms of overall damage, it lags behind the previous sword by about 8-10%. But this sword could only be obtained as part of the patch 1.3 event, so it is impossible to get it now. |
Key of Khaj-Nisut (5 stars) |
Bonus HP: 14%~66.2% Base Attack: 44~541 |
Increases health by 20%. When hit by an elemental skill, increases the hero's elemental mastery by 0.12% of his maximum health for 20 seconds. The bonus can appear once every 0.3 seconds and stack up to three times. After receiving the 3rd charge, the MC of all nearby characters increases by 0.2% of the maximum HP of the fighter using this sword. Gives a huge boost to health, which increases the effectiveness of Furina's abilities. The buff to MC is a nice bonus, but Primordial Jade Cutter will still be a little stronger. But with this weapon you can pay less attention to HP when choosing artifact stats. |
Light of Foliar Incision (5 stars) |
Critical Damage: 19.2~88.2% Base Attack: 44~542 |
Increases the chance of dealing critical damage by 4%. Normal hits that deal elemental damage increase damage from simple attacks and elemental skills by 120% of MS. After 28 activations of the effect or after 12 seconds, it will disappear. The bonus occurs once every 12 seconds. Significantly increases crits and increases damage from E-shki. But the second bonus can only be obtained if you have C6. So it is not recommended to use this sword without this constellation. |
Wolf-Fang (4 stars) |
Crit chance hits: 6~27.6% Base Attack: 42~510 |
Increases damage from skills and ults by 16~32%. When a skill or elemental explosion hits an enemy, his crit chance increases by 2~4%. Bonuses can work simultaneously. Each of them lasts 10 seconds and stacks up to four times. Can appear once every 0.1 second. Strengthens both the E-shka and the ult, however, the bonus will not be cumulative while Furina is in the “pocket”. Plus, you can only get this weapon from a paid Battle Pass. |
The Dockhand’s Assistant (4 stars) |
HP: 9%~41% Base Attack: 42~510 |
When the wearer's HP is restored or he heals his allies, such a character can receive up to 3 special Symbols that have a duration of 30 seconds. When a Achievement: Hero with this weapon activates a skill or ultimate, all accumulated stacks are consumed. For each level that disappears, the wearer restores 2–4 units of energy after 2 seconds and receives a bonus of 40–80 elemental mastery for 10 seconds. The character can receive this boost even while in the pocket, but not more than once every 15 seconds. Significantly increases health, and therefore the effectiveness of Furina’s abilities, and gives some energy, which makes it easier to use her ult on CD. An increase in MS will be a pleasant bonus. |
Carrier Flev Sandr (4 stars) |
Obtaining Energy: 10%~45.9% Base Attack: 42~510 |
Elemental skill critical strike chance increases by 8-16%. Also, after its activation, the character's energy recovery stat increases by 16-32% for five seconds. Gives a huge amount of energy, completely covering Furina’s need for energy, and strengthens the E-shka. In addition, you can get it completely free for fishing. |
Favonius Sword (4 stars) |
Obtaining Energy: 13.3%~61.3% Base attack: 41-454 |
When dealing crits, 6 units of energy are restored with a 60% chance. The effect occurs once every 12 seconds. Can be taken if the team does not have a second Hydro character and there is an acute shortage of VE. With this sword, when selecting artifacts, you can pay more attention to HP and crits. |
Best Artifacts
The best set for Furina is "Golden Troupe", 2 parts of which increase damage from an elemental skill by 20%, and 4 parts increase damage from an elemental skill by another 25%. If the owner is not on the battlefield, then the damage of the E-Shki increases by another 25%. 2 seconds after the character leaves the pocket, the bonus disappears. Thus, the overall damage from the skill can be increased by 70%, and we remind you that the skill is the main source of Furina’s damage. Can be obtained in the dungeon "The Denouement of Sin".
As an alternative, you can use incomplete sets of artifacts that increase health, Obtaining Energy and/or Hydro damage (the best combination is 2 for 2 on HP):
- Tenacity of the Millelith (Vourukasha’s Glow): 2 parts – increases health by 20%. The first one can be obtained in the dungeon "Ridge Watch", and the second – in "The Molten Fortress".
- Nymph’s Dream (Heart of Depth): 2 parts – increases Hydro damage by 15%. The first can be obtained in the Molten Fortress, and the second in "Vindagnir's Pike".
- Emblem of Severed Fate: 2 parts – accelerates VE by 20%. Can be obtained in "Maple Hall".
As for the choice main characteristics of artifacts, then the hourglass should be taken for HP% (or VE if there is a shortage), the cup (chalice) - for the Hydro damage bonus (or HP%), and the crown (hat) - for critical damage / critical hit chance (2 to 1). Among additional parameters, priority should be given to energy recovery, crits, HP% and HP.
The best teams for Furina
There are a few basic rules when building optimal units with Hydro Archon. Firstly, she needs a good Traveling Doctor who is able to heal the entire pack at once, and the restoration of hit points should be significant. This will allow Furina to not only continue to use the offensive version of the E-shka, but also give her allies a significant damage buff.
Secondly, it is highly advisable to give her a good battery, which could be a second Hydro character, a Achievement: Hero with a weapon Favonia or Raiden Shogun (Fischl). This will allow Focalors not to experience problems with energy and activate an Elemental Burst on cooldown. As for choosing a damage dealer, you can take any fighter that is combined with the Hydro element. The table below shows the best options.

Upgrading Furina
How to improve your skills
You have to search and collect many different materials, namely:
- Teachings, guidelines and philosophies about "Justice" - obtained on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays in the dungeon "Pale Forgotten Glory".
- Whopperflower Nectar, Shimmering Nectar and Energy Nectar - drop from jumping, bought with Starglitter or created using Alchemy.
- Unknown Material - Dropped by the weekly boss Ptakhur.
- Crown of Insight – can be obtained during events, as well as by upgrading the Sacred Sakura, the Permafrost Tree, the Tree of Dreams and the Lucin Fountain.
As for the priority of leveling up abilities, an Elemental Burst should be leveled up along with an elemental skill, since the first buffs allies, and the second deals the main damage. Normal attacks can only be upgraded if you have unlocked C6 and plan to keep Furina on the battlefield for more time.
How to level up a character
Get ready to search and collect a lot of different materials. Their list and methods of extraction are given below.
- First exaltation (level 20; 20,000 mora) – 1 Varunada Lazurite Sliver, 3 lakelight lilies, 3 jumping nectar
- Second exaltation (level 40; 40,000 mora) – 3 fragments of Varunad lapis lazuli, 2 water that has not reached the transition, 10 lilies of the lake light, 15 nectars of the skipper
