Where to find regular Astegons

You can find them in the Third Hunting Ban Zone, which is located in the easternmost part of the world on a remote island. You can get here on a flying or floating Palais. At the same time, remember that we are talking about a creature of epic rarity, so in this location there may well not be the creature you need. In this case, wait here for 3-4 game days or re-login to the server for it to update.

Please note that catching Palov in the territory of nature reserves forbidden, so you will see the message “Breaking the Law” on the screen. If you are noticed by law enforcement officers, you will be immediately attacked, as you will be considered a criminal. You can either hide from them or attack and kill them. As soon as you leave the restricted area, everyone will immediately forget about your crime.

Let us add that even without taking into account the soldiers, this location is quite dangerous for exploration, since all the Pals on it are level 40 and above. So prepare well before you go there, and be sure to stock up on at least high-quality Pal Spheres.

How to get to the Alpha version of Astegon

You can find it inside the Ruined Mine, the entrance to which is located west of the Obsidian Volcano Slope location. The exact location of the passage can be seen in the screenshots and gif below - it is hidden behind the rocks, so it is quite easy to miss it.

This boss is located in the very depths of the cave, so move forward until you find yourself in a spacious area sanctified by lava. We do not advise you to touch the magma, as you may lose health.

How to defeat and catch Astegon

Next, we will tell you how you can deal with the Alpha version of this dark dragon, but our tips are also suitable for capturing ordinary Astegons. So, first of all you will need prepare equipment for your character:

• Pump-action shotgun - allows you to deal huge damage at close range, but requires a lot of time to reload.
• Assault Rifle – Deals high damage at medium to close range due to its high rate of fire. Try to shoot in the head for extra damage. You will need about 1 thousand rounds of ammunition.
• Palanium heat protection armor and palanium helmet - the enemy is on a volcanic island, so you can't do without heat-resistant equipment. Palanium items provide the best protection.
• Therashield – use it to increase your survivability. It independently restores its strength if it does not receive damage.

Be sure to also bring the legendary Pal Orbs with you to increase the likelihood of successfully capturing Astegon. This chance can also be increased by increasing the corresponding characteristic near the Pal Statues.

Next, you will need to take with you suitable Ice-type Pals, since it is their attacks that will cause maximum damage to the enemy. The table below shows the best creatures for this task and their locations.

As for the battle itself, the enemy will often use "Dragon's Breath", which is a purple flame that will damage you several times if you hit it. However, it is quite easy to avoid it by rolling to the side or using a sprint.

Try to stay away from Astegon so that he focuses all his attention on your Pals. As soon as the enemy's health drops to 2-5%, call off your allies so that they do not accidentally kill your prey, and then throw the Pal Sphere at it and wait for the successful completion of the capture.

How to breed Astegon

Look for huge dragon eggs

This Pal with a certain probability (about 10%) can hatch from a huge dragon egg, which you can find in various parts of the archipelago.
