How to get the Skyward Blade
The Skyward Blade is a standard 5-star weapon - it can be obtained from any weapon or standard banner.
As of update 4.6 “Two worlds burn, the Red Dead of Night goes out” on April 24, 2024, the Skyward Blade is available in the following banners:
- Weapon Event Mondstadt: Blessing – “Deity Incarnate”
- Standard Mondstadt: Blessing – “Wanderlust”
It is worth considering that this sword cannot be obtained from the “Beginner’s Prayer”, like any other 5-star weapon.
Main characteristics of the Heavenly Sword
- Rarity: 5 stars.
- Basic attack: 46 (1 level) – 608 (90 level)
- Energy Recovery Bonus (in%): 12 (level 1) – 55.1 (level 90)
The sword's ability works as follows: When an elemental burst is activated, the wielder of the Celestial Sword increases his movement and attack speed by 10%, and normal/charged strikes deal an additional 20% damage, buffs lasting 12 seconds. Critical hit chance increases by 4% indefinitely.
It is important to note that while the boost from a passive ability is active, a weak blue aura appears around the sword, and upward arrows are visible around the character, symbolizing stat improvements.
How to awaken the Skyward Blade
To increase bonuses from a weapon's passive ability, it must be awakened. To awaken the Heavenly Sword, like most other weapons in the game, you need to knock out its duplicate. The maximum awakening level is 5. Specific improvements from awakenings are listed below:
How to upgrade the Skyward Blade
The materials used to upgrade the Heavenly Sword are presented in the table below. To avoid calculations, the last line displays the total amount of required resources.
- The milky, cracked, broken tooth of the Arctic wolf and the Nostalgia of the Arctic wolf can be knocked out in dungeon Cecilia Garden on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Also, three baby teeth can be purchased from Marjorie for 10 anemo seals each. Marjorie is in Mondstadt, opposite Katherine.

- Slime/Excretions/ Slime Concentrate can be obtained by killing any type of slime, and can also be tracked using the Adventure Book.
Which heroes are suitable for the Skyward Blade?
The Skyward Blade is truly universal and will suit a fairly wide range of heroes due to its useful increase in crit chance and a plus to VE for all heroes.
