Genshin Impact Kazuha Guide: Best Builds

    Zorthrus

In Genshin Impact Kaedehara Kazuha is a 5-star character who is proficient with a one-handed sword and belongs to the Anemo element. In a team, he can play the role of a primary or secondary damage dealer (with a bias in support). In this guide, we will talk about his best weapons, artifacts and builds, as well as give advice on leveling and choosing the best team.

    Features and abilities of Kazuha

This swordsman is a very versatile character who can buff his allies or deal with large groups of opponents on his own. All thanks to a number of its advantages:

    • Can control the battlefield with an elemental skill.
    • He perfectly copes with the role of a secondary damage dealer, since the effect of his elemental explosion remains even after switching to another character.
    • Able to deal Anemo damage in an area, creating a Elemental Reaction: Swirl reaction, which additionally increases damage from other elements.
    • It has good base defense and health values.
    • Deals powerful attacks from the air.

If we consider its shortcomings, then for beginners it may seem a bit difficult when used as a main damage dealer due to its high mobility and the need to constantly control a crowd of enemies. The disadvantages can also be attributed to the dependence on the mastery of the elements.

    How to play as Kazuha

When using a normal attack, the ronin samurai inflicts up to 5 quick blows, and when charged, makes 2 powerful swings of the sword (stamina is consumed). However, of most interest is his Plunging Attacks, which, when used with an elemental skill, results in a strike called Midare ranzan.

As part of this attack, physical damage is converted into Anemo and an air current is created that draws nearby enemies into itself. This is a great moment to switch to a Pyro, Cryo, Hydro or Electro hero and use his ultimate.

Elemental Ability "Chihayaburu" allows you to pull mobs and objects to Kazuha, and then throw them into the air, causing damage to Anepo (long pressing the skill button can increase the impact area). The resulting wind currents will lift the swordsman himself. He can then perform the aforementioned Midare Ranzan for the next 10 seconds, dealing additional damage.

Elemental Burst "Kazuha Slash" Deals Anemo damage over a wide area. In addition, an impact trail called Autumn Whirlpool is left on the ground, periodically hitting enemies with Anemo damage. When interacting with other elements, with the exception of Geo, it deals additional damage with this element. Thus, after using it, you should switch to the character of the corresponding element in order to inflict increased damage on enemies.

Kaedehara Kazuha also has three decent passive skills:

    • Cloud Strider (Basic) – Reduces the stamina cost of running fast by 20% for the active hero. The effect does not stack with the bonuses of similar passives.
    • Soumon Swordsmanship (Ascension Stage 2) – Midare Ranzan deals an additional 200% Pyro, Cryo, Electro, or Hydro damage when interacting with one of these elements.
    • Poetics of Fuubutsu (Ascension Stage 4) - The Scatter reaction increases the elemental damage of the rest of the team by 0.03 percent per point of Kazuha's Elemental Mastery for 8 seconds. Bonuses from different elements can stack.

    Constellations (talents) Kazuha

To open them, the character's Serendipity is required, which is obtained by obtaining copies of the hero as part of Prayers. Therefore, this process is largely based on randomness. You will be very lucky if you get to the 6th constellation, but the first two are also extremely useful.

    • Scarlet Hills - Reduces the cooldown of Chihayaburu by 10%. Using Kazuha's Strike resets its cooldown completely.
    • Yamaarashi Tailwind, the Autumn Whirlwind field formed by Kazuha's Strike, gains a number of unique effects: increases the elemental mastery of the ronin and all characters inside the field by 200 points. The effects of increasing this indicator are not cumulative.
    • Maple Monogatari - Chihayaburu level increases by 3 (to a maximum of 15).
    • Oozora Gempo - When energy drops to 45 units, Chihayaburu begins to restore 3 or 4 units of energy to the character (quick or long press). When flying on a glider, 2 units of energy are restored in one second.
    • Wisdom of Bansei - Kazuha Strike's level increases by 3 (up to a maximum of 15).
    • Crimson Momiji - Using elemental skills infuses Anemo's weapon with infusion for 5 seconds. At the same time, for each point of Elemental Mastery, the damage from normal attacks, including attacks from the air, increases by 0.2 percent.

    Best builds for Kazuha

    Basic Anemo DPS

In this case, it is necessary to maximize the damage dealt by Anemo. This can be done by using the following swords.

    • Freedom-Sworn (5-star; Elemental Mastery) – When an elemental reaction occurs, create 1 Talisman of Empowerment. It can appear once every 0.5 seconds. Collecting 2 talismans from nearby team members increases the damage of regular hits for 12 seconds. The following talismans can only be collected 20 seconds after this effect is activated.
    • Iron Sting (4-star; Elemental Mastery) - Dealing elemental damage increases all damage by 6 percent for 6 seconds. The effect stacks up to two times and occurs no more than once per second.
    • The Alley Flash (4-star; Elemental Mastery) - Increases damage by 12%. After taking damage, the effect disappears for 5 seconds.

As for artifacts, you need to choose the following parameters: critical damage and crit chance /% ATK or elemental mastery / Anemo damage. You need to collect this set:

    • Viridescent Venerer: 2 items - increase Anemo damage by 15 percent; 4P - Dispel damage is increased by 60%, and when it comes into contact with another element, enemies' resistance to the corresponding element is reduced by 40% for 10 seconds. This set can be found in Dungeon "Valley of Remembrance" .

    Secondary Anemo DPS

In many ways similar to the previous build, but more focused on the development of the ult and Obtaining Energy. As a sword, we advise you to take:

    • Freedom-Sworn (5-star; Elemental Mastery) – When an elemental reaction occurs, create 1 Talisman of Empowerment. It can appear once every 0.5 seconds. Collecting 2 talismans from nearby team members increases the damage of regular hits for 12 seconds. The following talismans can only be collected 20 seconds after this effect is activated.
    • Skyward Blade (5-star; Obtaining Energy) - Increases the chance of landing critical attacks by 4%. Elemental Burst increases attack and movement speed by 10%, and charged and normal strikes hit 20% more. The duration of the effects is 12 seconds.
    • Favonius Sword (4-star; Obtaining Energy) - Critical hits have a 60% chance to create elemental particles that restore 6 energy. The effect occurs every 12 seconds.

Artifact gathering should focus on HP% / %ATK or Elemental Mastery / Obtaining Energy. Emerald Shadow can be used as a set again. In its absence, you can wear:

    • Noblesse Oblige: 2 items - Increase elemental explosion damage by 20%. Using this ability increases the attack of all team members by 20% (lasts 12 seconds). Can be obtained from the Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern dungeon.
    • Instructor; 2 items - increase elemental mastery by 80 points; 4 items - Creating an elemental reaction increases the elemental mastery of all team members by 120 points for 8 seconds. knocked out elite bosses.

    Basic DPS on physical damage

A rather unusual build that some may find more effective than the first two. When collecting it, you should take a weapon for attack power, namely:

    • Aquila Favonia (5-star; bonus physical damage) - Increases attack by 20%. Taking damage restores health points equal to 100% of attack power and deals 200% damage to nearby enemies. The effect occurs every 15 seconds.
    • Primordial Jade Cutter (5-star; Critical Hit Chance) - Increases your life bar by 20 percent and your attack by 1.2 percent of your maximum health.
    • Black Sword (4-star; Critical Hit Chance) - Increases damage from normal and charged strikes by 20%. Dealing critical damage with these hits restores health equal to 60% of Attack Rating. The effect occurs every 5 seconds.
    • Prototype Rancour (4-star; bonus physical damage) - Dealing damage with normal hits or charged hits increases attack power by 4% for 6 seconds. The bonus stacks up to four times and is given every 0.3 seconds. This weapon can be crafted. Budget option for Kazuha.

During the selection of artifacts, pay attention to the following parameters: crit chance and critical damage /% ATK / physical damage bonus. As for the sets themselves, you can take:

    • Gladiator's End: 2 items - Increase attack by 18 percent; 4 items - Damage from normal hits increased by 35%. Dropped by elite bosses.
    • Pale Flame: 2 items - increase physical damage by 25 percent; 4P - When an elemental skill hits, attack is increased by 9% for 7 seconds. The latter effect stacks up to 2 times and manifests once every 0.3 seconds. Can be found in the dungeon "Ridge Watch" .

    Combination with other characters

Due to his Elemental Reaction: Swirl element, Kaedehara Kazuha is a fairly versatile character that pairs well with many heroes. However, please note that your team should not have many Geo characters, since this element is inert in relation to Anemo. Below we will indicate a few optimal units.

    First team:

    • Main DPS: Hu Tao, Diluc or Klee
    • Secondary DPS: Kaedehara Kazuha
    • Secondary DPS: Xingqiu - easily creates powerful reactions with Pyro heroes, which can then be strengthened by the ronin samurai
    • Support: Bennett, Xinyan or Diona

    Second command:

    • Primary DPS: Kaedehara Kazuha
    • Secondary DPS: Fischl
    • Secondary DPS: Beidou
    • Support: Diona

    Leveling Kazuha

    How to improve skills

To do this, you have to collect a large number of different materials, namely:

    • Teachings, Directions, and Philosophies about Diligence - Looted in the dungeon "Taishan Mansion" on Tuesdays and Fridays.
    • Seals of the Treasure Thieves and the Silver and Golden Ravens - Dropped by Treasure Thieves and crafted using Alchemy.
    • Gilded Scale - Dropped by Azhdahi.

Note that if in your team this Achievement: Hero performs the function of a secondary damage dealer, then first he needs to pump "Kazuha Slash", and only then "Chihayabura" and regular attacks.

If he plays the role of the main DPS, then the Elemental Burst should be developed at the same time as normal attacks, however, the latter should take precedence.

How to level up a character

You will need to collect certain items in very large quantities. Below are the names of the necessary things and how to get them.

    • First Ascension (Level 20) – 1 Vayuda Turquoise Sliver, 3 Sea Mushrooms, 3 Treasure Thieves Seals
    • Second Ascension (Level 40) – 3 Wayud Turquoise Fragments, 2 Puppet Cores, 10 Sea Mushrooms, 15 Treasure Thieves Seals
