This article will help you find all the precious caskets in the Liffey and Kinetic Energy Institute areas.
Where to find precious chests in the north of Fontaine
In the north of Fontaine is 16 seats with trophies. Some chests are a reward for solving puzzles or tests, others open after fights with mobs, and some can only be obtained during world receipts.
If you loot chests by interactive map of Fontaine, you will not see all the places with trophies, so in the description of some tags we have added links to additional guides, which will help you expand the number of rewards found.
Precious chest 1
- Location: Eastern slope of Mon Esus.
The first chest with precious loot can be found above the waterfall on the Eastern slope of Mon Esus: before this you need to decide puzzle with humidity intelligence vessels. In separate guide we described in detail how to find and activate all the crystals in order to receive a reward.
Precious chest 2
- Location: Eastern slope of Mon Esus (west).
Near the location of the first chest there is a tower with a sharp turquoise spire - in front of it is a blocked stabilizer. Find a way to activate the device and get another precious casket as a reward (read about how to solve this and other puzzles in separate manual ).
Please note: there are over 16 stabilizer puzzles to be found in the northern part of Fontaine, and some of them will also reward you with a precious chest.
Precious chest 3
- Location: Central Laboratory ruins (south).
The third chest is located on the hill near the Hydro Archon statue in front of the ruins of the Central Laboratory: go up east to a clearing with a couple of enemy mechs, for defeating which you can loot a chest.
Precious chest 4
- Location: East of the Experimental Field Generator.
Cross the strait to the south from the previous place with the 3rd trophy, and then climb to the top of the slope and run towards the boss Experimental field generator : On a stone platform you will meet a group of enemies guarding a chest.
First, beat the first bandits, then repel the attack of several more hostile meks, and at the end of the battle, loot your reward.
Precious chest 5
- Location: Central Laboratory ruins (east).
Another chest is located in a clearing on the eastern side of the ruins of the Central Laboratory: use the teleport near the location indicated on the map and run west to fight a bunch of mobs led by a lavachurl guarding the next prize.
Precious chest 6
- Location: Central Laboratory ruins (east).
Without leaving the previous area, turn towards the strait: in the water there is the next farming goal, to obtain which you need to accompany 4 moisture reconnaissance vessels.
First Elemental Reaction: Crystallize hovers near the shore on the southern side of the strait, and to move it, pick up a drop of water, stand in the water until a water field appears around you, and then stand near the moisture detection mechanism and fill it with an element - the glowing vessel itself will fly towards the chest .
Second Elemental Reaction: Crystallize hovers over the stone to the east of the previous one - kill the mobs standing near it, and the mechanism itself will fly to the activation point.
Behind third crystal move to the northern shore and defeat another group of enemies, after which the vessel will also fly to the others.
The Last Elemental Reaction: Crystallize hidden in the large blue fruit in the western half of the pond: attack it with elemental reactions to knock down the stability bar and free the last puzzle piece.
All 4 crystals will fly to the hydro ring near the chest and destroy the blockage from our trophy.
Precious chest 7
- Location: ruins of the Institute for the Applied Use of Mechanisms.
The seventh chest can be obtained during the world quest " Fontaine Research Institute Chronicles " At one stage you will go to the ruins of the Institute for the Applied Use of Mechanisms - find out from our separate guide, how to explore the area and open the grate behind which is a chest.
Precious chest 8
- Location: Central Laboratory ruins (west).
This chest can be obtained after solving another riddle with humidity level intelligence crystals, which we described in detail in separate manual.
Precious chest 9
- Location: New Fontaine Research Institute (west).
Use the teleport in front of the building of the new Research Institute and run a little to the west: near the path there is a destroyed stone platform along which aggressive meks walk, and next to them there is a chest in a cage.
Destroy the robots first and then activate energy transfer panel. Using the camera interface, collect a charge from the blue capsule to the left of the cage, and then transfer it to the block near the enclosure.
You can also find other terminals that, after setting them up, will give you a precious reward, so we recommend checking out our guide to all places with these mechanisms.
Now all that remains is to open the dungeon and claim your prize.
Precious chest 10
- Location: New Fontaine Research Institute (west).
The tenth target is hidden in a tower in the north of the map, and can be accessed during the quest " In Search of Lost Time: North " But this is not the only building hiding a precious casket, so we advise you to look separate manual, from which you will receive information on the mission, as well as places with similar treasures.
Precious chest 11
- Location: Institute of Kinetic Energy (northwest).
The next 11th chest is given as a reward for solving the riddle with Hydro totems - for its detailed analysis go to a separate article.
Precious chest 12
- Location: underwater Liffey area.
In search of the 12th casket, go to the teleport in the east of Meropid prison. You need to find a round passage into the pipe south of the transfer location. Before you swim into it, knock xenochrome jellyfish and get its subversive ability. There will be a closed hatch in the recess, and to the right of it there is a switch - hit it to open the passage.
Past the next section there will be another locked door and an inaccessible blue Elemental Reaction: Crystallize: swim into the area and then throw an E-bomb towards the first switch and blow it up. The path back will be closed, but you can hit the crystal inside: this will open the section with the chest, as well as all the hatches.
Precious chest 13
- Location: underwater Liffey area.
Continuing from the area with the previous chest, swim south to a place with a similar passage into a flooded pipe, if necessary, get the xenochrome jellyfish skill and swim inside to open 1st Elemental Reaction: Crystallize.
Swim into the next compartment and in the distance throw the bomb at the 1st switch again. The exit will slam shut, but the path further will be clear. Without leaving the section space, shoot at 2nd blue Elemental Reaction: Crystallize.
The hatch in front will close again, opening the first passage: without sailing anywhere, in last time remotely switch the 1st Elemental Reaction: Crystallize : All zones will open in front of you, in the depths of which there will be a chest. All you have to do is swim to it so that the lock on the trophy is removed.
Precious chest 14
- Location: dungeon behind the arena Seahorse of a thousand-year-old pearl.
Teleport to the indicated area and go up to the passage to the north: on the way you will come across a cage with a chest. To get it, you will have to find a charged block that emits an energy field.
On the way to the cage there was a video surveillance terminal: return to it, pick up the red part and place it in the place that you marked in the screenshot above. Then go into the passage on the left and dive under the water.
Swimming forward along the pipe, you will see a group of mek and pneuma sphere. We select a clot of energy and go back: before leaving the water we will see another red power supply. You need to swim up to the unit and hit it pneumusia.
Return to the console and enter camera control mode. Next you need:
- Change the viewing angle to the far camera on the left.
- Collect the charge from the part above the water.
- Turn the camera to the left and transfer the charge to the block near the remote control.
Turn off the console, take the power supply and go to the cage: after you install it next to the chest, you can safely open the dungeon in which it is imprisoned.
Precious chest 15
- Location: Mine in the Forging Press area.
The penultimate chest can be obtained by interacting with Forging press. From the accompanying guide you will learn not only the way to this precious casket, but also how to get Arkhium Lumenite - a special item required to obtain the 16th trophy.
