In Genshin Impact meetings with Ningguang are a special type of legend quest, where you need to choose different phrases in the dialogues and make various decisions to unlock all the endings. As you unlock these endings, you'll earn useful rewards, including Source Stones. In this guide, we will walk you through all the steps you need to take to see all stories.
How to start and complete meetings with Ningguang
It will be possible to take on the passage of this quest chain after fulfilling a number of requirements, namely:
- Reach at least Adventure Rank 28. IN separate material we gave some tips on how to level it up quickly.
- Complete the Archons quest called "Interim volume. Chapter I: The Wind Blows - The Cranes Return".
- Obtain 2 Legend Keys. They are issued for completing 16 daily tasks (you can complete no more than 4 such tasks per day). You can only keep 3 of these keys in your inventory, so you won't be able to accumulate them.
If all the requirements are met, open the "Legend Quests" section and go to the "Meetings" tab. Then find the desired heroine and open a meeting with her to start the necessary task, which has several endings.
The guide does not contain a detailed retelling of all the events that take place within the framework of this quest, since we do not want to spoil your impressions during an independent passage. It presents only the main forks, the elections in which can affect the finals that are unlocked. We will also tell you about solving puzzles, correct answers and finding the right objects.
Note that it is not necessary to start the meeting from scratch to unlock all the endings, since you can easily select any desired fork in the Meeting: Ningguang section, and then immediately transfer to it. By the way, after the release of update 2.2, the game began to indicate the options that you had previously selected.
Note: You should pay a little attention to the relationship scale with Ningguang, displayed in the upper right corner of the screen and represented as white hearts. The level of its filling does not affect the stories that open, however, if it is completely empty, then the meeting will end, which is why you will have to do it again from the last fork. Hearts usually fade in case of rude behavior or choosing the wrong answers.
Act I "The Jade Chamber’s Returning Guest"
The picture below shows all the branches of the story, leading to one or another ending. It should give you a general idea of the meeting. Next, we will take a closer look at each route.
After starting the meeting, you will need to go to the Jade Chamber to meet with Ningguang. Now you can simply teleport to the desired area by selecting the appropriate icon on the map. Jump onto the platform and go inside.
Ending 1: Admiring the scenery
Fork route: The Jade Chamber Once More -> Schedule -> Business as Usual -> Feast -> Welcome Gift -> Exchanging Intelligence -> Principles.

After this dialogue, many more different conversations await you, however, you can choose any answer options in them, since you will still get the desired ending anyway.
Ending 2: The Importance of the Collection

Ending 3: Unbending Will
Fork route: The Jade Chamber Once More -> Schedule -> Time Off! -> "A Liyue Millennial" -> After falling into the sea.

You will have to create new chess pieces for Ningguang collection. To do this, you will need to visit a number of locations that will be marked on your map. Subsequent answers no longer affect anything, so you will still get the desired ending.
Ending 4: Joy Together
Fork route: The Jade Chamber Once More -> Schedule -> Time Off! -> Starting From Zero -> New Entrepreneur's Handbook -> Increasing income, reducing expenses.

Then you have to visit several places in Liyue Harbor and chat with some residents (answers in the dialogues do not affect anything).
Now move to Guili Valley to find treasure. In the desired area, you will need to kill several mobs. You will be given under the control of Ningguang. After dealing with the opponents, open the chest. Keep searching for treasures and killing monsters.
Next, explore the holes left by the thieves. Run after the squirrel and inspect the hole into which she managed to jump.
At the end, you will need to go fishing. True, you will have to catch fish in the old fashioned way, that is, with your hands. You only need to catch 3 fish to complete the task, but if you want to get the achievement "You’ve Got to Have Reserves", then you have to catch 7 fish.
Then fry the fish and talk to Ningguang. The answers in the dialogue do not affect anything, that is, you will still get the desired ending.
Ending 5: Parthian Arrow
Fork route: The Jade Chamber Once More -> Schedule -> Time Off! -> Endless Smoke -> Sewn with white thread -> Lay Bait for a traitor -> Confrontation.

Head to the financial institution in Liyue Harbor and then walk around the city. During a conversation with Ningguang, you can choose any answers. Next, you will need to find your pursuer.
The desired character stands near the left side of the bridge. The screenshot above shows its exact location. In further dialogues, you can say any phrases, since you will still get the necessary ending. You will also unlock the trophy "Overprotectiveness".
Rewards for meeting with Ningguang
For unlocking each next ending, you will receive a certain reward. Below is a list of items that you will be given for completing the task:
- Unlock 1 Encounter Memory: 100 Adventure Points, 20 Source Stones, and 3 Guide to Prosperity.
- Unlock 2 Encounter Memories: 100 Adventure Points, 5 Hero XP, and 3 Prithiv Topaz Fragments.
- Unlock 3 Encounter Memories: 100 Adventure Points, 20 Source Stones, and 5 Yin Yang Cakes.
- Unlock 4 Encounter Memories: 100 Adventure Points, 5 Hero XP, and 3 Prithiv Topaz Fragments.
- Unlock 5 Encounter Memories: 100 Adventure Points, 20 Source Stones, and 3 Prosperity Directions.
In addition, for opening all the branches, you will unlock the Megrez’s Companion Star achievement, thereby obtaining another 20 source stones. There are also two additional trophies that we talked about above - they give an additional 10 primogems.
