Hexagon pieces in Resident Evil 4: how to find and open a stone pedestal

    Zorthrus

In Resident Evil 4 (2023), Hex Parts A, B, and C are special items needed to open the stone plinth at the Lake and get valuable hidden treasures. In this guide, we will tell you exactly where you can find these gizmos, and how to solve the riddle with them.

Where to find hex parts in Resident Evil 4 Remake

In total, you need to find three similar frescoes. All of them can be found as part of the passage of the third and fourth chapters. Below we will consider their location in detail.

    Hexagon piece A

After passing through the Quarry, you will soon reach the next merchant's shop. If you look in front of her, you will see a large red chest, in which the item you need is hidden.

    Hex piece B

Head to the northern area of the Fish Hatchery, where you will need to find fuel for the boat. There, again, look for a large red chest, standing near a life buoy and a rocky ledge. You will need to go down into the water to find it. The exact location is shown in the screenshots below.

    Hexagon piece C

You can get it already during Chapter 4. Get on the boat to the Chapel in a small cave located in the northeastern area of the Lake (you need to swim into the tunnel to the right of the torch). Climb to the pier, and then enter the small wooden building ahead.

Enter inside the house and go to the pedestal with symbols. You will need to select the characters on it in a specific order. The required sequence is shown in the screenshot below. After that, a passage will open ahead, and you can pick up blasphemer's head (will be needed for the plot). To the right of it is a casket, in which the part is hidden.

Where to find a stone pedestal

After finding all the 6-sided parts, get into the boat and start sailing southwest to the pier shown in the screenshots below. Get out on land and go to the stone pedestal standing between two houses. Place all three hexagons in it to start the puzzle.

How to solve the stone plinth puzzle

To solve this riddle, you just need to twist the frescoes in certain directions and thereby get a whole picture. If you have not tried to rotate the frescoes yourself, then you just need to follow these steps (the sequence depends on the selected difficulty level):

    • On a simplified or ordinary level: turn the left side 1 time and the top part 1 time.
    • On Hardcore or Pro: Turn right side 2 times, left side 2 times and top side 1 time.

The finished result is shown in the picture above. If you have already twisted the frescoes, then you will have to assemble the drawing yourself. You can also try loading a save where you haven't touched the pedestal yet.

After solving the riddle, you will receive a valuable treasure called the Vicious Idol. It can be sold to a merchant for 15,000 pesetas.
