In Genshin Impact Naviya is 5 star character, possessing the Geo Eye of God and masterfully wielding a two-handed sword. In a squad, she can play the role of the main or secondary damage dealer. In this guide you will learn about her best builds, weapons and artifacts, as well as recommended commands for her.
Note: The Spina di Rosula chapter has not yet been officially released, so the data presented here is based on information obtained through beta testing. If necessary, we will update the guide when the heroine appears in the game.
Main features of Navia
How to get Navia
In the first phase of Update 4.3, the leader of the Burning Rose will appear in banner, which will increase the likelihood of it falling out. In the future, it will be possible to obtain this character only with the help of Prayers. Unfortunately, HoYoverse has never held an event where the reward would be a 5-star fighter, so you definitely won’t be able to get Navia for free.
Progression of Navia characteristics
The table below shows how the heroine's basic parameters change as her level increases.
Level | Base HP | Basic attack | Basic protection | Bonus to crit chance. hits |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 985 | 27 | 62 | 0% |
20 | 2577 | 50 | 162 | 0% |
40 | 5686 | 158 | 356 | 9.6% |
60 | 8206 | 228 | 515 | 19.2% |
80 | 11161 | 310 | 700 | 28.8% |
90 | 12650 | 352 | 793 | 38.4 |
The standard critical damage and critical hit chance are 50% and 5% respectively.
Advantages and disadvantages of Navia
Thanks to her unique attacking abilities, Navia performs well in battles, both with strong single opponents and with large enemy groups. Its advantages also include:
- A very flexible damage dealer who can attack both from the “pocket” with the help of his ultimate, and constantly be on the battlefield, causing damage with regular attacks and elemental skills. This allows her to easily fit into a large number of different squads.
- She has significant attack power even among 5-star fighters, which is extremely important, because the damage from her abilities depends specifically on this parameter. This also helps the heroine inflict significant damage with regular blows.
- One of her passives gives Geo's normal attacks an infusion, allowing her to trigger the Elemental Reaction: Crystallize reaction more often.
- Pairs perfectly with Pyro, Electro, Hydro and Cryo element characters, as they not only help Navia trigger and enhance the Elemental Reaction: Crystallize reaction, but also increase her attack power.
- It performs well when fighting strong single opponents (bosses), as it deals gigantic damage when all 11 of Rosula’s crystal bullets hit one enemy.
- With You with elevation, the heroine's critical damage increases, which somewhat simplifies the construction of her build, since more attention can be paid to attack power and the chance of delivering critical hits.
- It can perfectly perform the function of a damage dealer even without opening constellations, which F2P players will certainly like, but at the same time constations can neutralize some of Navia’s shortcomings and enhance its positive aspects, so unlocking them is not a waste of time and resources.
- Elemental Burst is relatively inexpensive, which allows you to use it more often and pay less attention to the energy recovery indicator.
- Increases rewards for expeditions in Fontaine that last 20 hours.
However, there were some downsides, many of which stem directly from the heroine’s advantages:
- Although Navia has a high base attack power, and her normal attacks do deal high damage, however, due to their low speed, the overall DPS of such attacks will be relatively small.
- Considering the previous flaw, it can be concluded that her normal Geo Infusion attacks are mainly designed to only close more reactions and gain additional energy, and not to deal high Geo damage.
- As a sub-DD, the heroine will still have to run onto the battlefield several times during one rotation to gain charges of Crystal Shrapnel, since the ult alone does too little damage, so it is impossible to do without an elemental skill. For this reason, be prepared for the fact that even at this position, Navia will eat up a significant share of the rotation, which is why adding her to a hypercarry squad is not recommended.
- It does not pair well with Dendro and Anemo characters, since their elements do not interact with Geo, and therefore do not cause Elemental Reaction: Crystallize to react and do not allow them to collect shrapnel charges.
- It is not recommended to assemble mono Geo-teams with her, as this will deprive her of the Elemental Reaction: Crystallize reaction and the additional increase in attack power from her passive talent. Gorou , by the way, will also be of little use to her, since the increase in Navia’s defense is not really needed, and keeping three Geo characters in the squad at once due to the small bonus to Geo damage and resistance to interruption is impractical.
- The range of the elemental skill is relatively short, so you won't be able to shoot at them from the same distance that archers use.
- Navia's overall damage is slightly lower than that of top damage dealers, but this may change in the future with the release of new heroes.
Navia's abilities
When performing a normal attack "Direct rejection" the character performs up to 4 swings of the sword, charged - rotates the blade around himself, spending stamina, and then performs an additional powerful blow. If he is in the air, he falls down during the attack, and when he lands, he deals damage in an area.
Explanation: Very standard indicators for a two-handed player - at the same level as Dilyuk. Passive talents slightly compensate for the lack of the ability to deal additional damage with Steam or Melt. Normal blows will definitely not become Navia’s main source of damage, because she has an E-shka for this.
Navia will receive 1 charge of Crystal Shrapnel each time a team member picks up an elemental shard generated by a Elemental Reaction: Crystallize reaction. A maximum of 6 charges can be accumulated. When you gain a new level, the existing shrapnel is reset. When using an elemental skill "Ceremonial Crystal Shot" the heroine will fire a shot from her umbrella, spending all the collected shrapnel. Rosula's crystal bullets can pierce enemies, dealing Geo damage.
By spending 0/1/2/3 shrapnel charges, 5/7/9/11 bullets are fired from the umbrella, respectively. The more shells that hit the same enemy, the more damage he will receive. If 11 rounds hit him, they will be able to deal him 200% of the initial damage. In addition, each level of the effect after the 3rd increases the damage from the shot by an additional 15%.
If you long press the skill button, the aiming mode is activated, in which you can independently choose where to shoot. Navia also collects all nearby shards resulting from the Crystal's summoning. By releasing the button, the heroine fires bullets at enemies. The skill can be used twice without recharging.
Let's add that when firing from an umbrella-musket, the Blade of Stormy Waters appears from time to time, inflicting Ushii damage to Geo's enemies.
Explanation: At zero charge, Navia fires 5 bullets with a fairly wide spread and a small blast radius, meaning the umbrella acts more like a shotgun than a musket. For this reason, you should shoot at the enemy from a short distance so that all the shells hit him, since with each cartridge the base damage multiplier will increase - for 11 bullets it will increase by 2 times.
Another thing to remember is that bullets have a piercing effect, meaning they fly through enemies, hitting opponents standing behind them. In theory, you can hit two enemies at once with 11 projectiles, but this will be problematic. In any case, it is the skill that is the main source of damage to Navia, whose total DPS can be twice as high as that of an elemental explosion or simple hits with Geo infusion. Moreover, to inflict high damage, it is enough to collect at least 3 charges of shrapnel in 4.5 seconds.
Elemental Burst "Like a greeting from clear skies" deals one-time Geo damage over an area, and also calls Fire Support, which periodically hits Geo with nearby enemies over a certain period of time. When hitting enemies, cannon attacks grant Navia one shrapnel charge. This effect occurs once every 2.4 seconds.
Explanation: The principle of operation of the ult is similar to the explosions of the elements of Ganyu or Kamisato Ayato. Fire Support fires 17 shells over 12 seconds, which can give Navia an additional 3-4 levels of shrapnel per two skill charges. This ability deals little damage compared to E-shka, so it is used mainly for gaining skill stacks, so it is highly advisable to activate it every rotation.
We also can’t help but talk about Navia’s unique passive talents, which open up as she levels up:
- A carefully executed deal increases the reward for completing 20-hour expeditions in Fontaine by 25%.
- Unknown channels of circulation - after activation, the E-shka gives regular, charged and falling strikes to the heroine Geo with an infusion for 4 seconds. The damage from them increases by 40%. This talent does not turn these attacks into the main source of damage, but makes it easier to use Navia as an active damage dealer, allowing her to gain energy for her ultimate faster and create more Elemental Reaction: Crystallize reactions.
- Mutual Aid Kuki Shinobu: Net – Each Hydro, Cryo, Pyro and Electro character in the team increases the heroine’s attack power by 20%. The maximum bonus can be stacked up to two times. For this reason, it is recommended to have at least two allies of the indicated elements in your squad.
Navia constellations
To open them, you need to accumulate the character’s Luck, which is issued when duplicates of the heroine appear, which, of course, is random. Given the low chance of getting 5-star characters, you will need to spend a lot of time and money to unlock all the constellations. However, even without them, Navia can perfectly perform the function of a primary or secondary damage dealer.
If you are on a limited budget and want to open consts, we advise you to go with C1, which will significantly reduce Navia's energy recovery requirements, increase her overall damage (since the ult will be active almost all the time) and the flexibility of the entire squad. If you have a choice between a signature and the first Constellation, then we advise you to take C1.
Good constellations are also C2 and C6, since the first can significantly increase the chance of crit. hits of the skill, and the second is its critical damage. As a result, Navia's skill will begin to deal insane damage to enemies, especially when all 11 bullets hit. All constellations are described below.
- Distance rule for ladies - while E-shka is active, each spent shrapnel charge will give 3 units of energy and reduce the cooldown time of the ult by 1 second. A maximum of 9 energy units can be restored and the cooldown of the elemental explosion can be reduced by 3 seconds.
- The commander-in-chief's desire for victory increases the critical hit chance of a skill by 12% for each shrapnel charge spent. The maximum you can increase this parameter by 36%. When the E-shki is activated, 1 ult fire support also descends on the affected enemy.
- Broad outlook of the manager – the level of elemental skill increases by three. Maximum level: 15th.
- Those who have taken an oath do not give up - reduces the Geo resistance of the enemy hit by the ult by 20% for 8 seconds. Increases Navia's overall damage, making normal hits even more useful.
- Negotiator's Inflexibility – Ultimate level increases by three. Maximum level: 15th.
- The elegance of the clever chapter of Spina di Rosula - for each shrapnel charge after the 3rd, the critical damage of the skill increases by 45%. In addition, it returns all charges expended after the 3rd one back to Navia after using the skill. Requires a constant collection of all 6 skill stacks in 4.5 seconds to deal maximum damage. In general, it significantly increases the damage from the E-shka.
How to play as Navia
So, Navia is a damage dealer who prefers to spend as much time on the battlefield as possible, as she needs to constantly trigger the Elemental Reaction: Crystallize reaction and collect energy particles to maximize her personal damage. At the same time, unlike other Geo DDs, she does not have any incentives to staff the team with additional Geo characters. Rather, on the contrary, she needs fighters of other elements (Pyro, Electro, Cryo or Hydro) to activate all passives.
At the moment, she can be used as a sub-damage dealer, dealing damage from the pocket, adding to packs where the player needs to quickly switch between characters, promptly activating their skills and ultimates. However, such a role will not allow Navia to fully unleash her potential, since her ultimate deals relatively little damage and she will still have to enter the battlefield to activate the E-Shki. Perhaps this will change after new heroes are added to the game.
Navia constantly requires energy to activate an elemental burst every rotation. On average, she needs to increase Obtaining Energy to 170%. This value can rise or fall depending on whether there is an additional Geo character or supports with Favonius weapons in the squad.
Ultimate is needed to gain additional shrapnel charges and trigger even more Elemental Reaction: Crystallize reactions. The main damage will be done by the heroine’s elemental skill. If you are fighting a large, strong enemy, you can use the skill with a quick press and from a medium distance, since the large enemy carcass will most likely be hit by all the projectiles, and he will receive maximum damage.
When fighting with one elite (small size) and several ordinary mobs, it is recommended to get close to the mini-boss and use the skill with a long press to aim at the desired enemy and shoot. It is advisable to collect at least 3 charges of shrapnel in 4.5 seconds to fire 11 bullets. Thus, in 2 shots (9 seconds) you can inflict, although not maximum, very significant damage.
As for the optimal rotation, it will look like this:
- If you're not in Twisted Abyss, then try to accumulate shrapnel charges before the start of a serious battle, since they can be stored on you for up to 300 seconds. Then activate the skills of your sub-dampers and supports to create the conditions for triggering the Elemental Reaction: Crystallize reaction.
- If ready, immediately activate Navia's Elemental Burst , which will allow you to gain an additional 3-4 charges of shrapnel per rotation and cause more reactions. Now, if you have previously collected at least 3 stacks, you can use the heroine’s elemental skill to fire 11 bullets at the enemy. Otherwise, wait until you reach the required number of skill levels by collecting crystals.
- For about 4-5 seconds after using the skill, use normal attacks. You will have time to complete the following chain: 3 swings of the sword, interruption and 2 more swings. This will allow you to gain at least 3 more charges and use the skill again. Repeat the use of regular attacks and activate the E-shka again (its cooldown time will pass).
- Don't forget to activate your ultimate on cooldown (after 15 or 12 seconds) and use your allies' abilities.
Remember that shrapnel charges are issued not just for activating the Elemental Reaction: Crystallize reaction, but for collecting the resulting elemental fragments, so you will have to either actively run around the field or use a skill with a long press.
The best builds for Navia
Best weapon
As for the choice of weapons, you need to pay attention to two-handed swords, which increase attack power, critical hit chance, critical damage and / or damage from an elemental skill. The table below presents the most interesting options.
Name and rarity | Characteristics (level 1-90) | Passive ability |
---|---|---|
Judgment (5 stars) |
Crit chance hits: 4.8~22% Base Attack: 48~674 |
Increases attack power by 20-40%. When team members pick up elemental shards created by the Crystal, the owner of the weapon receives one Seal, increasing the damage of the E-Shki by 18-36%. The duration of the seal is 15 seconds. You can have a maximum of two seals. They disappear immediately after dealing damage with the skill. Navia's signature weapon, which enhances all her positive aspects. Of course, in terms of damage it outperforms other two-handed weapons, but not very much, so if you choose between signature and C1, then knock out the constellation. |
Serpent Spine (4 stars) |
Crete. chance: 6%~27.6% Base Attack: 42~510 |
The damage dealt by the hero increases by 6%~10% every 4 seconds, but the damage he receives also increases by 3%~1.8% while he is active. The effect can stack up to five times and does not disappear if you change characters, but if you receive damage it is reduced by 1 stack. With 5th awakening and 5 levels of passive, it can even rival Verdict in terms of damage. But you can only get this weapon in a paid Battle Pass, and getting all 5 stacks is not as easy as it might seem at first glance. Without awakenings, it is inferior in damage to the two-hander below. |
Redhorn Stonethresher (5 stars) |
Critical Damage: 19.2~88.2% Base Attack: 44~542 |
Increases defense by 28-56%, and the damage of normal and charged attacks increases by 40-80% of the defense value. Gives a huge increase to critical damage, which significantly increases Navia's overall damage. If you also take Bennett into the squad, then you are almost close to the Verdict. The first part of the heroine’s passive is practically useless, since her abilities do not scale off from defense. |
Unforged (5 stars) |
Attack Power: 10.8~49.6% Base Attack: 46~608 |
Increases shield strength by 20-40%. If you hit an enemy, your attack power increases by 4-8% for 8 seconds. The bonus stacks up to 5 times and appears once every 0.3 seconds. When the character is under a shield, the effect increases by 100%. As a main DD, Navia is almost always protected by a barrier from Elemental Reaction: Crystallize reaction, so it won’t be difficult for her to activate the passive. As a result, the sword will give her a huge increase in ATK, which will significantly enhance the skill. However, you will have to get crits from artifacts. |
Reed Sea Lighthouse (5 stars) |
Crete. chance: 7.2-33.08% Base Attack: 46~608 |
When hitting an enemy with an elemental skill, increases attack power by 20~40% for 8 seconds. If damaged, ATK increases by 20~40% for 8 seconds. These bonuses occur even when the Achievement: Hero is not on the battlefield. Plus, if the fighter equipped with it does not have a shield, then his maximum health increases by 32~64%. It’s a fairly universal weapon, as it’s suitable not only as a main DD, but also as a sub-DD, because its bonuses also work in the pocket. Increases both crits and attack power (Navia will often use E-shka, so there will be no problems with activating the first part of the passive). However, the second bonus will most often be in the air, since most of the time the heroine will have a Noelle: Protector hanging on her, preventing her from receiving damage. |
Wolf’s Gravestone (5 stars) |
Attack power: 10.8% -49.6%. Base Attack: 46~608 |
Attack power increases by 20-40%. If the enemy's HP is reduced to 30%, the attack power of each team member increases by 40-80% for 12 seconds. The ability can appear no more than once every 30 seconds. If Navia plays the role of a sub-DD, then this particular weapon will be in second place in terms of effectiveness, since it significantly increases the attack power (and, consequently, damage from the ult and E-shki) not only to the owner of the sword, but also to other team members. |
Magic Super Sword of the Supreme Overlord (4 stars) |
Obtaining Energy: 6.7-30.7% Base Attack: 44~565 |
Increases attack power by 12%. The attack increases by another 12-24% depending on the number of Melusines from the Merousi village that you helped. Can be obtained for free as part of the Patch 4.3 event. Thanks to the increase in VE, Navia will be able to use her ultimate more often, and an increase in ATK will increase her damage, so this two-handed weapon will be useful for both main and sub-DD. On the fifth awakening and with full passive, it will outperform even some swords with crits in damage (in the role of a secondary damage dealer). |
Skyward Pride (5 stars) |
Obtaining Energy: 8%~36.8% Base Attack: 48~674 |
Increases damage dealt by 8%~16%. When you use your ultimate and hit enemies with simple and charged strikes, a blade appears that deals 80%~160% damage to all enemies in its path. The effect ends after eight blades or 20 seconds. Useful for Navia as a sub-DD, as it allows her to use her ultimate more often. We recommend taking Bennett into your squad to further increase your attack power. |
Talking Stick (4 stars) |
Crit chance hits: 4~18.4% Base Attack: 44~565 |
Increases attack power by 16-32% for 15 seconds after receiving the Pyro effect. If you receive Hydro, Cryo, Electro or Dendro effects, the damage from elemental damage increases by 12-24% for 15 seconds. Both bonuses can occur no more than once every 12 seconds. Weapons can be obtained from a paid Battle Pass. Increasing the chance of delivering critical hits will be useful for Navia, but to activate the passive, you will have to fulfill rather unusual conditions by taking certain characters into your squad. The heroine will benefit most from increasing her attack power, so take Bennett or Xinyan into your team. |
Tidal Shadow (4 stars) |
Attack Power: 9~41.3% Base Attack: 42~510 |
Increases attack power by 24-48% after receiving healing for 8 seconds. The bonus is activated even if the character is not on the battlefield. It can be crafted for free and gives a good increase in ATK. But the passive only works after receiving treatment, which can cause problems, because Navia will be under a shield most of the time. |
Lithic Blade (4 stars) |
Attack Power: 9~41.3% Base Attack: 42~510 |
Increases attack power by 7-11%, and the chance of crit. damage by 3-7% for each team member from Liyue. The bonus can be stacked up to four times. Gives huge increases to Navia's attack parameters, but has a significant drawback in the need to assemble a team from a limited number of characters. |
Katsuragikiri Nagamasa (4 stars) |
Obtaining Energy: 10%~45.9% Base Attack: 42~510 |
Increases elemental skill damage by 6%~12%. When using a skill, the Achievement: Hero loses 3 energy points, but gains 3-5 units every two seconds for the next six seconds. The bonus occurs once every ten seconds and is triggered even if the fighter is not on the battlefield. Gives a significant increase to VE and slightly increases damage from E-shki. We recommend using it if Naviya plays the role of a sub-DD. |
Best Artifacts
As with two-handed swords, we recommend taking artifacts that can increase crits, attack power, and damage from an elemental skill. The table below shows the best options.
Artifacts | Bonuses | Advantages |
---|---|---|
Echo of voices in the night forest |
2 pieces: Increases attack power by 18%. 4 parts: increase Geo damage by 20% for 10 seconds after using E-shki. Increases the effect by another 150% if the Achievement: Hero is under a shield created by the Crystal. This bonus disappears a second after the shield disappears. |
It can be considered Navia’s signature set, since it increases the characteristics she needs, and she can activate the passive without any problems. |
Marechaussee Hunter |
2 pieces: 2 pieces: Increases damage from normal and charged strikes by 15%. 4 pieces: Increases critical hit chance by 12% for five seconds when the character's current health increases or decreases. The bonus can be stacked up to three times. |
Found in the dungeon "The Denouement of Sin". If you use Navia as a main DD, then this set will outperform the previous set in damage. However, it has a significant drawback - Furina must be present in the team in order to reduce the health of Navia, who is under the shield. |
Archaic Petra |
2 parts: increase Geo damage by 20%. Obtained from the dungeon "Domain of Guyun". | You can use two incomplete sets if there are no previous sets with the required characteristics. They give all the boosts Navia needs to increase her overall damage. |
The Gladiator’s Finale |
2 pieces: Increases attack power by 18%. Obtained from elite monsters. | |
Golden Corpse |
2 pieces: Increases elemental skill damage by 20%. 4 pieces: Increases elemental skill damage by an additional 25%. If the owner is not on the battlefield, then the damage of the E-Shki increases by another 25%. 2 seconds after the character leaves the pocket, the bonus disappears. |
Obtained from the "Denouement of Sin" dungeon. A sub-DD is more suitable, who will occasionally enter the battlefield to quickly deal damage with a skill and ultimate and then go into the pocket. |
Concerning main characteristics of artifacts, then take the hourglass for attack power% (or Obtaining Energy if there is a strong lack of it), a cup (bowl) for the Geo damage bonus, and a crown (hat) for crit. chance/crit. damage in a ratio of 1 to 2 (if you use the Hunter of the Twilight Court, you can only take cri damage). The priority for choosing secondary parameters is as follows: crits, Obtaining Energy and ATK%.
The best commands for Navia
Navia is in dire need of energy, so it makes sense to take a second Geo character as a battery. It can also help with resonance and additional Geo status on enemies, allowing you to summon the Elemental Reaction: Crystallize more often. An ideal candidate for this role is Zhongli, who gives a strong Noelle: Protector, reduces resistance to Geo damage and gives additional particles with his skill.
The other two places in the squad should be given to Pyro, Cryo, Hydro or Electro characters who can impose the corresponding statuses on opponents. Their presence will also increase Navia's attack power. In many cases, Bennett will be useful to you, which gives a good buff to ATK. The table below shows all the optimal command options.

Upgrading Navia
How to improve your skills
You have to search and collect a wide variety of materials, namely:
- Teachings, guidelines and philosophies about “Equanimity” - obtained on Mondays, Tuesdays and Sundays in the Pale Forgotten Glory dungeon.
- Alien Pearls, Alien Debris, and Xenochrome Crystals - drop from Fontmer aliens, purchased with Starglitter , or crafted using Alchemy.
- Dark Silk Thread - Dropped by Weekly Boss The All-Devouring Narwhal.
- Crown of Insight – can be obtained during events, as well as by upgrading the Sacred Sakura, the Permafrost Tree, the Tree of Dreams and the Lucin Fountain.
If we talk about priority of upgrading talents, then when playing as a main DD, you should first increase your elemental skill, and then take up regular attacks and finally increase Elemental Burst. For sub-DD, also first of all level up the E-shka, and then take on the ult. Ordinary attacks don't need to be upgraded.
How to level up a character
Get ready to search and collect a lot of different materials. Their list and methods of extraction are given below.
You can get Prithiv topaz from Geo hypostasis, Golden wolf leader, Snake of Ruins, Infinite mechanical array, Experimental field generator, Ancient Geovishap, Lupus Borealis And Azhdakhi. Spare parts for the wonderful mechanism: Coppelius drops from Ice Wind Suites. The Spring of the First Dewdrop is a local curiosity of Fontaine. In separate guide we have indicated its location.
