In Genshin Impact meeting with Kaeya is a separate a variety of legend quests, in which you have to choose different answers during a conversation with different characters, make certain decisions and complete tasks to open all available endings.
As you unlock new endings, you will receive valuable rewards, including source stones, additional paintings for a teapot of serenity and Hero Ascension Materials. In this guide, you will learn about all the choices and actions that you need to make to unlock the entire story.
How to start and complete meetings with Kaya
You will be able to take on this quest chain after meeting a number of conditions, which include:
- Have at least Adventure Rank 35. In our separate article advice is given on how to quickly increase this indicator.
- Complete the Archon quest called "Caribert", which is the sixth chapter of Thoma III of the main storyline.
- Complete the Queya Legends quest titled "Secret Pirate Treasure" from the chain Peacock feather.
- Prepare 2 Legend Keys by completing exactly 16 daily errands (only 4 such missions can be completed per day). We add that at the same time you can keep no more than three keys with you (plus, you can store one more outside the inventory), so you won’t be able to save them in reserve.
Having dealt with all the requirements presented above, open the Legend Quests menu and go to the Encounters category. There, find the required hero and unlock a meeting with him.
In this guide, you will not find a detailed description of absolutely all the events that take place within the framework of this mission, since we do not want to spoil your impression of its independent passage. We will only indicate key forks, actions and decisions, with which you can open all the endings. The material will also, if necessary, consider all the puzzles, give answers to quiz questions and show the location of important items.
Remember that you do not have to start the entire chain from scratch to open each ending. You can easily go to any fork you need in the window "Encounter: Kaeya"
. In addition, since the release of version 2.2, the game now indicates the options you previously selected.
Note: We add that during conversations with Keia, you will surely notice a strip consisting of white hearts and located in the upper right corner - it shows the mood level of the cavalry captain. Its value does not directly affect the opening of the endings, but if it drops to zero, the meeting will end immediately, which will force you to return to the last fork reached. Hearts can be lost due to rude behavior or choosing the wrong answers.
Act I "Fudge and Drink"
The picture below shows all the branches of the story that lead to different endings. It gives an overview of the meeting. Next, we will take a closer look at all existing routes (information on them will appear after the release of update 3.8, July 25).
First of all, go to Port Ormos. Get to the southern part of the port town and you will find Kaya here. Chat with him. You can choose any answers, as at this stage they do not affect anything.
Now start following Keia until a new cutscene starts. This prologue is the same for all endings, but starting with the "Friend in a Foreign Land" junction, there is a branching of the plot. All possible branches are considered below.
Ending 1: Questions

During the conversation with Keia, you will see two men arguing with each other on the stage. The captain of the cavalry will be interested in staging them. You will need to answer him the following:

You can choose any answers, as they will no longer affect the ending. Then order food from Nesmil standing nearby. Sit down at the table and chat with Keia.

Fork "Is it so?" (The whole world is a theater)
Chat with Keia again, and then quietly sneak out With You him, going a little south to the docks. You can choose any dialogue options. When the conversation ends, you will unlock the first ending and receive the Pearl Seal of Prince Kubad as a keepsake.
Ending 2: Freeship

Head to the square in front of the cathedral and talk to Keia. You can choose any answers. Next, go to the "Share of Angels" and chat with Venti at the table. Tell him about the problem.

Rewind time to tomorrow (06:00-18:00) and return to the square. Talk to your friends - choose any answers. Now look for Barbara - it stands right next to the entrance to the cathedral. You can choose any phrases, as this will not affect the ending.

Go back and chat with everyone else. You can choose any answers you like. At the end, look for Keiyu, standing on the sidelines. When the conversation ends, you will unlock the second ending and receive a Mysterious Lamp of Destiny as a keepsake.
Ending 3: Bunches of domestic warmth

Go to the headquarters entrance and chat with Keia again. Tell him the following:

Fork "Labor at the distillery" (Aroma of wine)
Scroll through the time to the next day, and then head to the Dawn distillery and chat with Dilyuk. You can choose any answers. Then chat with Elzer, Connor and Tanner. Next, start picking grapes from the bushes - all bunches will be marked with a marker.
After collecting all the grapes, talk to Tanner again. When the conversation ends, you will unlock the third ending.
Ending 4: Our Luminary

Ending 5: Informant or Buddy?

Head to the Liyue Department of Citizen Affairs in the city center and speak with Keiya. Starting from this fork, you can choose any answer options, as they will no longer affect the final.
Next, approach Xing Xi and chat with her. Check out her products. After that, talk to Shi Tou in the Jade Riddle. Then talk to people and listen to the storyteller at Heyu Tea House.
Fork "Gamblers" (Feathers in the spring wind)
Scroll through the time for tomorrow (08:00-12:00) and go to Yanshan Tea House. Engage in dialogue with Keia, then go up and place your bet. If Kaeya touches the chin, then bet on the eagle, and if the forehead - on tails. In our case, the correct options were:
- Eagle.
- Eagle.
- Tails.
Follow the hostess and tell her about what is happening here. Then talk to Captain U standing nearby. At the end, run to the pier and talk to Keia again. When the conversation ends, you will receive the fifth ending. If you chose the sides of the coin correctly, you will unlock the achievement "Lucky Coin".
Rewards for meeting Keia
For unlocking each new ending, you will receive a certain reward. Below is a list of things that you will be given for completing the entire chain:
- Unlock 1 Encounter Memory: 100 Adventure Points, 20 Source Stones, and 3 Poetry Directions.
- Unlock 2 Encounter Memories: 100 Adventure Points, 5 Hero XP, and 3 Shivad Jade Fragments.
- Unlock 3 Encounter Memories: 100 Adventure Points, 20 Source Stones, and 5 Fruit Skewers dishes.
- Unlock 4 Encounter Memories: 100 Adventure Points, 5 Hero XP, and 3 Shivad Jade Fragments.
- Unlock 5 Encounter Memories: 100 Adventure Points, 20 Source Stones, and 3 Poetry Directions.
In addition, for opening all the branches, you will unlock the unique achievement “In Search of Fun”, thereby obtaining another 20 Source Stones. There are also two additional trophies that we talked about above - they give 10 more primogems for them.
